Ballet and Conditioning Classes
Join us to develop your love and passion for dance, whilst improving your mental and physical wellbeing. Our adult and children’s ballet classes will help you achieve a solid technical foundation in classical ballet. Our emphasis is placed on nurturing confidence, creativity and self-expression. Classes takes a uniquely holistic approach to the learning of dance, and are taught by affiliated teachers of The Royal Ballet School, and professional dancers.
Our conditioning classes will incorporate aspects of classical ballet, yoga, and Pilates to create a workout that inspires a love of dance, whilst also helping to create a happier, healthier you.

Class Timetable
Monday 4.15-500pm – Level One Ballet ( Ages 4-6)
A nurturing and child focussed class where children will follow The Royal Ballet School’s Affiliate Teaching and Assessment Program to explore their love of movement and music.
Monday 5.00 – 5.45pm – Level Two Ballet (Ages 6-8)
A nurturing and child focussed class where children will follow The Royal Ballet School’s Affiliate Teaching and Assessment Program to explore their love of movement and music.
Thursdsay – 10.15 – 11.00am – Ballet Core and Stretch
This class will utilise the principles of classical ballet floor barre with elements of Pilates to create a low impact and challenging work out for all levels of fitness.
Thursday 11.15am – 12.00pm – Adult Ballet
This class is for anyone wanting to rediscover or experience the joy of ballet in a traditional ballet class format with an experienced Royal Ballet School Affiliated Teacher.
Thursday 12.15 – 13.00pm – Ballet Barre Fit
A low impact class that incorporates professional ballet inspired strengthening exercises to create a strong core and excellent stability and classical poise.
Isobel Powell – Principal Ballet Teacher. BA (Hons) ARAD, FDI
Isobel began her vocational training at the Arts Educational School Tring Park, and then went on to complete her professional training at Bird College, Conservatoire for Dance and Musical Theatre. Isobel trained as an associate with The Royal Ballet School and performed as a soloist with the National Youth Ballet. Isobel’s passion for music and choreography began at an early age where she was awarded the Barbara Geoghan Choreographic award twice and her work was performed at Sadlers Wells, London.
In addition to being awarded the ISTD Young Dancer of the Year, Isobel’s choreography won The Creation Choreography Award from UK’s leading dance school principal Luis D’Abreu. Isobel is now an international performer and choreographer.
She currently works as The Head of Dance at The Big Act Academy of Theatre Arts, the South West’s leading musical theatre college, offering professional, vocational training in Dance and Musical Theatre, and is the principal of Isobel Powell Performance and Dance. In 2022 She was amongst the first of twenty-five teachers worldwide to train in The Royal Ballet School’s Training and Assessment programme, and now holds affiliate teacher status with The Royal Ballet School.
In 2019 Isobel was awarded a scholarship to study in New York at The American Tap Dance Foundation.
Recent choreographic credits include Kipps Half a Sixpence, Move It Mainstage 2022-2024, West End Alive Bristol Hippodrome, Singing in the Rain Bristol Hippodrome, Artistic Director Tumbellina International. Sweet Charity, Cabaret, Bristol Dance Associate Programme. Performance credits include Romeo and Juliet, English National Ballet, Tumbellina International, The Old Man of Lochnagar, McOnie Company, The Royal Albert Hall, Louise (Carousel,) Hooray for Hollywood, The Orchard Theatre, Cinderella, (QDOS Entertainment,) Hofesh Shechter Company, Swerve Dance Theatre Company.
Isobel guest tutors at other leading vocational colleges including Morea Performing Arts, The Arts Educational School Tring Park, University College Weston Dance, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She has a wealth of experience teaching children of all ages ranging from junior theatre school work, coaching children for ISTD and RAD exams as well as competitions and Eisteddfod dances. Many of Isobel’s students have gone on to either land major West End roles or continue their professional training at top London vocational colleges.
